A short paper with a long memory
BeaconReport exists because the news arrives faster than anyone can read it and duller than anyone deserves. Each item here gets four things and nothing more: a headline, a summary you can finish standing up, one observation we couldn't keep to ourselves, and a photograph that behaves like it's been asked to sit still and refuses.
The News desk reports what happened. The Opinion desk argues about it, usually with itself. The Humor desk is where the rest goes. We print all three on the same page because that's how the day actually arrives.
The look is borrowed from the broadsheets — heavy type, foxed paper, photographs that flicker. The point isn't nostalgia. It's that a front page tells you instantly what matters most, and no feed has ever managed that.
Tips, corrections and complaints go to the desk. Corrections are printed. Complaints are framed.
